Cute Little Headcannon #1

Steve soon realizes he likes himself in pastel colors. He figures it out when he’s playing with chalk (read that story by searching #stevehcolors) and he gets pale blues, pinks, and greens smeared up his arms. He starts wearing softly colored t-shirts and pastel yellow and blue jackets. He’s always excited for a rare occasion to mess around with hair chalk. One day he’s sitting on the couch with his legs swung over Billy’s lap, watching the TV.

“So, pink huh?”

“Hm?”

Steve looks over at Billy who’s playing with Steve’s hair. There was still some barely noticeable pastel pink hairchalk left in Steve’s hair from a party he’d been to earlier.

“Oh, well, that’s-”

“It’s cute.” Billy mumbled with a grin. Steve blushed a little. He liked it when Billy called him cute.

“I mean, I think you look like a child, and it’s stupid, and you might as well ware a sign saying that you’re a princess waiting for a prince, but-” Steve cut him off by kissing his lips softly and slowly.

“…but what?” Steve raised an eyebrow, daring Billy to go on with any other list of reasons he shouldn’t ware pastel colors.

“….but I think you look adorable…”

I feel like part of our fandom is like Steve Harrington and Joyce Byers and Hopper and Mike and Dustin and ect. We just strait up adopted Billy’s charecter because we saw the wrong he did, but also his potential. We didn’t excuse the harm he’s caused, but we understood the source and determined that he can have a chance at getting better. Because this side of the fandom is full of people who would give an abused teenager with anger issues a gentle and loving chance of hope to be better.

And then there’s that side of the fandom. It’s very small, but it’s full of Niels and Brenners and motherfreakin Tommys who not only won’t give him a chance, but would give anything to see him die.

But we will not mention them, as we are learning to ignore them.

Numb

Steve and Billy need to feel numb every once and a while. ‘Cause at the end of the day, they’re both two boys, who’ve been through some shit. Steve can’t take the pressure and his future as he sees it is crumbling apart. Billy is abused but can’t scream for help, and has some uncontained anger and pain. So once every week, maybe twice, they just lay on the couch together, turn on some music, and get high off of nicotine cigarettes. They don’t talk that much but it’s a comforting silence. They just lay on top of each other, sometimes Billy’ll hold Steve when he’s had a bad day of yelling and Niel kicks him around a bit. Steve’s been known to stop in the middle of a conversation between the two and almost collaps because of a rough day. Then Billy picks him up and lays him down and plays gentle music. And they just lay there, sometimes smoking nicotine until their brains go comfortingly numb, and sometimes fully sober and awake. It feels good on those days. When it’s too hot for couches, they go out into Steve’s pool, dangling their feet in the water or sometimes fully floating in. Steve likes it when Billy slowly pulls him underwater to the pool floor and they stay down there for as long as they can. Then, they feel like they can really block out the world, with just each other and no one else.

32nd Street AU (Crime Boss!Billy and Trophy Husband!Steve)

Billy started out as one of the top drag racers in Cali. He gradually evolves into running a huge operation of highly talented smuglers and racers who’ll ship things for cartels, assassinate people for mobs, and provide security for other crime bosses traveling through the state. It’s an underground and illegal operation, but Billy’s been doing it a long time, and he’s pretty happy with how it turned out. One day, one of his guys decides to recruit some kid named Steve Harrington. He’s real fast in the right car, and a hell of a shot with a sniper rifle. Billy keeps a close eye on him, not because he doesn’t trust him, but because he’s interested. Very interested.

It’s only been a couple months before Billy claims Steve as his. And Steve’s perfectly happy with that. They’d grown to love each other and the life style they’d been creating so well. Steve likes to appear easy to take advantage of, a bit like a doll that everyone wants to play with. And sometimes, clients can get a little too interested in Billy Hargrove’s husband. Sometimes they watch him for too long. Sometimes they get a little too close to touching him. But Steve never let’s them. He often puts a gun to their head before that happens. And besides, if they ever did, Billy’d take their hand clean off.

One time some stupid, sorry motherfucker acctualy tries to threaten Steve to get what he wants from Billy. Oh, Steve enjoyed getting a front row seat on Billy’s lap as he was killed, right after they made sure his entire empire fell. In fact, Steve’s the sharpshooter who took the shot.

Billy Hargrove is the second most renowned and effective Assasin and sharpshooter world wide. He takes a job in Tokyo were he’s suppose to take out a traveling billionaire. As he takes his mark and is about to pull the trigger, he finds that his target has been shot seconds before Billy could shoot him himself. Naturally, he’s pissed and confused. He searches over the rooftops to see who shot him, and finds his sights upon an attractive boy….. with a sniper rifle who took the shot before Billy could. The boy winks at Billy before disappearing over the terrace. Naturally, Billy does his research.

I just imagine that eventually Billy would be forced to get a haircut by Niel and Billy is not loving it. Billy’s never one to be insecure but that doesn’t mean he’s always been confident that he looks badass. His objective has always been to appear like the alfa. And to him, his new caircut didn’t really make that big of a statement.

In the halls, Steve just can’t help but notice it. At first glance, his brain just tells him that it’s a new haircut, so what? But now Steve really got to study Billy Hargrove, when he wasn’t looking of course. He liked the way how he could see the denim collar against his neck. The silver chain on his tan skin became more noticeable, and for some reason, more alluring. But still, it wasn’t something that kept Steve awake at night. No, the picture he got in the locker room was what kept him awake at night.

Yes, Billy Hargrove with his shirt off was always a distraction. But now when Steve looked at the back of his neck, he thought of what it felt like to kiss it gently. Same with his upper back and all around his collar bone. Billy’s hair wasn’t exactly huge to begin with. But with it shorter, his chest and back and neck looked so much more open. Same with his shoulders, which Steve just wanted to hold onto while having his neck sucked roughly.

One day in the gym lockers, Billy’s wearing nothing but his P.E. shorts and it’s k.i.l.l.i.n.g. Steve and he just examines his necklace and his neck and his upper chest. Billy catches him staring, although Steve tries his best to look away. Billy roles his eyes, slams his locker shut, and comes up close to Steve.

“What Harrington, you got something to say?”

“Uh, no. Why, there something you wanna hear Hargrove?”

“If you say one stupid word about my hair so help me-”

“Relax, would you? Oh trust me, I see how you tence up when people look in your direction now. I recognize that annoying layer of insecurity, so don’t try to hide it. And secondly, no one is gonna think you’re not Billy Badass anymore because of a haircut. Besides, you don’t even look that bad anyway, get a grip.”

That makes Billy pause. He processes all of what Steve just said to him, but he keeps hanging on to those last words. ‘You don’t even look that bad anyway.’ What did that mean? Did that mean Steve was into it? And what did that mean, that he liked the haircut or that he liked all of him? Billy kept thinking about it all week. And all week he couldn’t help but find himself studying Steve in turn. He liked it when Steve was wearing a tshirt because then he got to focus of his arm movements when they naturally crossed themselves and fell to the sides. He liked it when Steve’s hair would fall just over his eyes so that they were visible but shaded. He liked so much, he just didn’t know what to do with it. But what really got Billy was how now, Steve wasn’t looking at him at all! Had he lost his attention? Was he suddenly irrelevant? No, Billy wasn’t gonna lose the pretty boy’s attention that easily.

During class, Billy takes off his jacket, showing a white tank top. He pulls on the chain of his necklace, twisting it in this figures and around his neck. He rests his cheeks on his shoulders and plays with his bangs a bit. He tries his hardest not to look over at Steve too much but when he does it’s to lock eyes for a moment, look Steve up and down, bite his lip, and then return his glance away.

In the back if the locker rooms, were no one goes unless they wanna be alone, Billy catches Steve rummaging in his locker for his shirt.

“Aw, pretty boy can’t find his clothes?”

“Shut it.”

“Or what? You’ll lose your pants too?”

Steve rolls his eyes and finally grabs his shirt.

“So Harrington, you still think I’m 'insecure’?”

“Pft. I think you cant get enough of yourself. I’m surprised you don’t make out with a mirror.” Steve says with sarcasm. He starts pulling his shirt on over his shoulders, when Billy pulls it down before Steve can get it over his head.

“Hey, what’re you doing?”

“Well Harrington, you’re not a mirror, but you’ll do.”

Billy lifts Steve’s chin before he can pull away. He forces his lips on Steve’s, not risking being too gentle. Steve drops his shirt after a few moments before holding Billy’s face with both hands, pulling him closer. Billy pulls Steve in by his shoulders, slowly moving them down to his hips. Steve runs his fingers through Billy’s hair, pulling it a little. Billy Hargrove doesn’t mind attention. Espeasialy from Steve Harrington.

Rare Beauty

Billy has a thing for dark eyes and pale skin. Maybe it was him growing up with so many blondies with tans and bright eyes. But Steve Harrington? He had dark, big, glistening eyes that just lit up when he was laughing. And light skin that Billy didn’t want anyone else touching. And his body type was something special. He was slender but strong in the chest. He wasn’t as strong as Billy but fast and agile which was just as valuable. Even when Steve was covered in blood or bruises or both, Billy’s subconscious couldn’t stop thinking about how he just looked so beautiful and perfect. He was… rare. For Billy at least.

Steve laughed as Billy, an actual talking hare, and a doormouse made jokes and sang songs in an almost crazy fashion. Steve loved the Mad Hatter’s attention, more than he favored anyone else’s. He loved how Billy took such interest in Steve, even though Steve came from a place with no interest and no wonder. Steve visited his mad lover as often as he could, always coming back with gifts like magical teacups and top hats. He also loved it when Billy would ask him to stay every time. Every single time Steve went to Wonderland, Billy would ask him to stay, plead for him to infact. Steve loved that he was wanted so much, but it broke his heart because he truly would give anything to stay with him in that amazing world. But he couldn’t. Steve had so much pressure from his parents and friends to be normal and cool, just like everyone else. But Billy didn’t want him to be like everyone else. Billy wanted Steve to be his true, beautiful self. Steve hated to have to choose between two worlds at first. But it wasn’t that hard in the end. In Wonderland, Steve had adventure, amazement, and not to mention his true love, even if he was a bit mad in the head.

Colors

I just love imagining Steve acting all childish and Billy acts annoyed but thinks it’s so frickin cute. But one of my best ideas ever is that Steve love love loves to play with chalk. He just gets into it and will often sit for hours on the pavement, taking his time making beautiful designs using shapes and colors until Billy has to drag him in a remind him that he has to eat. In his head it’s the only thing he’s good at. In Billy’s head, it’s adorable and frankly pretty amazing. I just like to think about how Billy’s smoking a cigarette and sitting next to Steve, just handing him colors and stuff.

“Blue.”

“Here.”

“*ghasp* Billy, the blue chalk just mixed with the red and it made purple dust!”

“That’s nice.”

“BILLY IT’S SO PRETTY WHEN I MIX IT ON MY HANDS!”

“…..God I don’t know how I ended up with you.”

Sometimes Steve’s hands get covered in chalk dust. He’ll make marks on his cheeks with rainbow and he’ll put rainbow colors in his hair and he knows he shouldn’t but he just thinks it looks so pretty. And then he begs Billy to let him do the same to his hair, and despite what Billy’s instinct says he always gives in. At the end of the day they’re both covered in colors and powder, but that’s fine because they love showering together anyways.

Expiriment!Steve Ideas

I imagine that when Steve got a little out of control, they would do electroshock on him until he was weak enough to submit. An actual real experiment was developed in the early 1980s where there was a tank of water, a chair, and a whole lot of electrical shocking. I just imagine Steve being submerged in water, thrashing violently as the electricity courses through his veins and burns him and hurts him. But the scientists can’t let him up because if they do, he’ll hurt them.

I think his original powers would’ve been something like he could absorb and harness whatever element that was thrown at him. Like, he could inflict emotional pain on someone when he felt heartbreak. He could set someone on fire if he was burning. He could even harness things like metal, light, power, movement, sound, pretty much everything to an extent. But in the lab, almost all he’s subjected to is the shocks of the electricity and the feeling of suffocation and the occasional release, just so he can be cut Into or something. He still hears the thrashing sound of him underwater, just trying to escape the feeling of burning and sharp pains. So you bet, as soon as they let him up, they’re almost as good as dead.
